Lush Crush - Sea Spray Hair Mist

Summer time is the perfect time to give your hair a break from heat and instead try out the "beach wave look". Not all of us are lucky enough to be on the beach but there are many products that can help you achieve those beautiful sexy beach waves. Specifically the 'Lush-Sea Spray Hair Mist'.  My summer MUST HAVE product. <3

This product makes me swoon! I am in love with it! I have naturally wavy/curly hair but this product helps enhance my curls and gives my hair this amazing texture. Without any heat, this product makes it look like I spent hours on my hair trying to makes you look like beach waves, but in reality it takes merely a few seconds yet it lasts the whole day. Plus is smells amazing (OBVIOUSLY it is Lush)!!! I literally can't stop staring at my hair and smelling it...it makes me feel pretty :).  Also you don't have to worry about brushing out the curls, because it easily brushes without damaging the beautiful curls/waves.
Other than the fact that this product is amazing and shows great results it is also vegan, hand-made, and cruelty free. And the price is reasonable. One thing is that I wish there was no expiration date, but I guess that means that it is all natural and doesn't have any parabens in it.
All in all I give this 5/5 stars and I will definitely repurchase this!

Earth Science - Clarifying Facial Wash

For many years I have been constantly switching and changing my face wash trying to find something that doesn't irritate my skin. I started using the 'Earth Science Clarifying Facial Wash' a couple of years ago and I am quite happy with the results and I have not taken this product out of my daily routine.
This is specifically for oily/combination skin, it doesn't dry out my skin or leave any residue. It is extremely gentle, light, and it is oil-free. This product has not caused me to break out.
This cleanser has aloe vera, cucumber extract and hyaluronic acid. I personally find that salicylic acid tends to irritate my skin therefore I was happy to find a cleanser without it. This cleanser helps keep your skin at a pH of 5.0, plus its paraben free!
I give this cleanser 4/5 stars because it is not a facial wash that gets rid of acne but it helps clean your skin gently in order to prevent future break outs. I would recommend this to anyone because it is an all in one gentle cleanser that I believe would work for anyone and all skin types. (Unless you have a specific allergy to a certain ingredient...but I find that unlikely.)

Demi Lovato's Must Have - Renee Rouleau BHA Clarifying Serum

In one of Demi Lovato's recent interviews she was asked what her secret to clear beautiful glowing skin was. Her answer was the 'Renee Rouleau BHA Clarifying Serum'. Now since I myself am searching for a great secret to clear skin and the fact that I am a HUGE fan of Demi Lovato, I decided I would have to order it myself and try it out.
While I was on her website: http://www.reneerouleau.com  , I found out that many other celebrities use the Renee Rouleau products including Demi Lovato and Sofia Vergara.
I was extremely excited to purchase and try this product.

I must say this product is amazing! It really did help clear up my skin and it truly does leave your skin pore less the next morning! It is definitely worth it and I will definitely be repurchasing it. The colour of the product is yellow-orange, it has a slight medicinal scent (but I don't mind it), and when you put it on your skin you feel a slight tingling, and in area where you have active acne it may sting but that sensation passes by in a couple of seconds. You apply this before your moisturizer at night, 2-3 times a week.
It does exactly what it claims to do: reduces oil and blemishes (plus pores size!)
The only negative point about this product is that it is quite expensive and comes in a small size of 15mL. Other than that I give it 5/5 stars because it is honestly just amazing! :)

The Truth Of Pro-Activ Skincare

As a teenager with oily/combination sensitive acne prone skin, I have tried multiple different products in order to find a holy grail item which may help my condition. I have heard great reviews on Pro-Activ and all of the celebrities that sponsor Pro-Active have caused me to get sucked into what they were selling and finally my mom agreed to buy me the Pro Activ 3-Step System.

I was extremely excited to try out these products and then I was shocked with the horrific stinging pain that I went through when using them. I read many reviews online and many people recommended and claimed that it takes a while for the product to work and that I have to use it for months before I see any results. So I went for it and decided that I will finish all the products and then look for results and decide what I thought of it.
These "miraculous results" that I was looking forward to did NOT happen. First of all, my extremely sensitive skin could not handle the chemicals in these products (and I did not use it everyday...they recommend to slowly get into it, yet that still didn't help in any way), I was breaking out even more than usual, this product made my skin worse than ever. Also it ruined all of my towels and pillow cases (it contains bleach). My skin became dry, flaky, red, swollen, irritated and it had a ton of acne.
I do realize that this product has helped may people but I personally will never repurchase this product EVER again! I guess it depends on skin types and sensitivity.

But it wasn't all bad...there was one product in the kit that I still use every now and then. This is the 'Refining Mask'. Every time I feel a pimple or breakout about to happen, I dab a little bit of this stuff on the pimple and leave it overnight. Maybe is doesn't completely make it disappear but I personally think it helps. I probably wouldn't repurchase it but I still use it. (Wouldn't want it to go to waste!)

Overall I give these products 1/5 stars because I would NEVER use or purchase the 3-Step System ever again and I would not recommend it to anyone no matter what. I wouldn't even recommend it to my enemy. But the 'Refining Mask' was not too bad. Also you have to take into consideration all of the chemicals that go into these products and think about the cost it will have on your skin in the long run. I do realize that this product has worked for many people, but it didn't work out for me and I feel that there are some precautions that you must take before trying out a new skin care product which contains high amounts of dangerous unhealthy chemicals.

Summer Body Moisturizer: Coconut Body Milk - The Body Shop

I purchased the 'Coconut Body Milk' from the Body Shop a while ago and have just recently began using it once again since it is summer time and it can get quite hot and humid (even in Canada!--it's actually REALLY hot here...) . This is a great moisturizer  to use during the summer especially if you don't want to apply any greasy or heavy moisturizer. The humidity may fool you into believing that you don't need to moisturize but it is a MUST no matter what the weather conditions are. DON'T deprive your skin of moisture just because you feel the humidity is "enough".

Not only do I use this product in the summer  but I also use it when I am on a tropical vacation after a sun burn. It cools the burn. Also it has a soft smell of coconut which I personally find mesmerizing (it brings me back to the caribbean), it is very gentle and has not caused me any breakouts, and it is not greasy and it dries very quickly. I personally am in love with this product!
I rate this product 4/5 stars because it smells AMAZING, it really cools your skin, and it is a great lightweight moisturizer. My one problem with this is the application process, I find it difficult to spray enough product for my whole body...but I guess this was the best they could do! :)

Nexxus Shampoo and Conditioner Comparisons

My hair can sometimes (ALWAYS!) be a mess so therefore I have been switching from one shampoo and conditioner to another. Recently I have tried three different kinds of shampoos and conditioners from Nexxus and I decided I should review these so then y'all have an idea of what each of these provides.
Now keep in mind that I have long, thick, curly/wavy kind of frizzy hair...it used to be damaged but now (after a few years of NO HEAT) it has a minimal amount of split ends.

Nexxus Hydra-Light Weightless Moisture:
I purchased this shampoo and conditioner because it just came out, I loved the new look and packaging and I personally liked the thought of "weightless moisture". The first thing I noticed is that this shampoo and conditioner (unlike the others) actually cleans your hair and your hair is "squeaky clean" (literally it squeaks when you rub), I am guessing this is part of the whole thing about it being "weightless" therefore it doesn't leave any residue on your hair. What worries me though about this is that it may actually be stripping the hairs and making them weaker. The shampoo has a very perfumy scent, and the conditioner had no scent at all (at least no pleasant scent). Once my hair was dry (air dried), I noticed that my hair was really light and soft, but it was extremely frizzy (frizzier than usual).
I definitely will not be repurchasing this product. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't have frizzy hair and someone with extremely heavy hair who wants to give it more texture.
I would give this 3/5 stars.

Nexxus Frizz Defy Frizz Protection:
The idea of "Frizz Defy" caught my attention and it was a must, I had to purchase it and try it out and see if it truly could "defy" my frizz! Honestly, I must say it definitely did help my frizz and my hair was silky smooth. I LOVE the smell of this product. Out of all the product that I am reviewing in this post, the scent of this one was definitely my favourite! All in all this was an amazing product that did exactly what it was supposed to do, but I did find that it kind of dried out my ends. Obviously I don't have the healthiest hair, but I felt that this product dried out my ends the most. When I compared the ingredients in all of these products, I have noticed that the "Frizzy Defy" conditioner contain more alcohol than the other two conditioners. This could be one of the reasons for the dried out ends.
I probably will repurchase this sometime in the future when I am looking for some "Frizz Defying" and and nice smelling product.
I would give this 4/5 stars.

Nexxus Pro-Mend Split End Binding: (My personal FAVORITE)
Out of all of these products this is the product that I have been using the longest. I have had an on and off relationship with it for about five years! There was no good reason for why I would get "off" of it, except for the fact that I wanted to try something new, but in the end I always end up returning to the "Pro-mend" shampoo and conditioner. It smells great, it feels great, and it shows great results! While I was trying to replenish my damaged hair and get rid of all the split ends this is the product I used and it worked! I stopped using it once my split ends were gone and tried the other two products I mentioned, but in the end I know that once I am finished with the current bottles I have I will be definitely repurchasing and returning to the Pro-Mend because it just seems to be a miracle worker for me. I would recommend this to anyone and I give it 5/5 stars! :)

(I realize that the Pro-Mend Shampoo is missing...I accidentally threw it out)

Comments, requests and questions are welcome :)

Image Skincare Line for Acne-Prone Skin

I have been using the Image Skincare line for a couple of years, specifically two of their products: Daily  Defense matte moisturizer with SPF 30 and Vital C hydrating anti-age serum.

Daily Defense matte moisturizer: (I know "defense" is spelled wrong..but that's the name..)
This moisturizer is for oily/acne prone skin and has an SPF of 30 and it is mattifying. I personally LOVE the mattifying affect and the SPF is a definite need now a days! Sun exposure can lead to skin cancer and also wrinkles! So I always make sure I have protection...another plus is that it doesn't have that "sunscreen" smell, it smells fresh and clean but a little bit like perfume. Also this is an oil free moisturizer therefore it does not make you oilier and it didn't make me breakout or cause any reaction with my skin.
The negative about this product is that is is expensive and after a couple of months I find the product starts to separate and its more of a milky substance with fine white chunks. This is my third bottle, so I have repurchased it, but I don't think I will be repurchasing it anytime soon because I want to try something new. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who does have oily/acne prone skin and who hasn't tried this product before. It is definitely worth trying. I have never regretted purchasing it, I just want to "explore and be adventurous" by trying some new moisturizers.
I would give it 4/5 stars because it does separate and can look kind of gross after a couple of months, but the mattifying and SPF deserve a BIG THUMBS UP!

Vital C - hydrating anti-aging serum:
This is a great hydrating serum that contains vitamin C, A, E and highly potent anti-oxidants. I find this product feels extremely light and it seems to make me glow. It is recommended for dry, dehydrated, rosacea, post treatment and/or acne prone skin. Honestly is seems like a miracle worker to me. Every time I put this on I feel like I am really saving myself from the future wrinkles and it does not react negatively at all with my skin except the skin around my eyes. This isn't meant to be an eye cream, yet I tend to try everything for my eyes because they are extremely sensitive and this made them burn and extremely puffy. So I would not recommend putting this on any extremely sensitive areas of skin, but it works perfectly on the face.
I would rate this 5/5 stars because it does what it claims to do plus the packaging is a pump which makes it sterile. Oh and also it smells like citrus! Some people may compare it to the smell of a washroom refreshener type of scent, but I personally don't mind it.

Both of these products are quite expensive and I purchase them from my local salon and spa, but if you can't find them they do have a website:
www.imageskincare.com

Any questions, comments or requests are welcome :)
